Dr Dale Creamer

Interventional Radiologist

Dr Dale Creamer, born in Springs and raised in Durban, is the head of Interventional Radiology at Groote Schuur Hospital and practices privately at UCT Private Academic Hospital, Netcare Greenacres, and Midlands Specialist Hospital.

He completed his Fellowship in Interventional Radiology at the University of Calgary and has trained under leading international interventional radiologists.

Dr Creamer is also a senior lecturer at the University of Cape Town and an active member of several medical societies. His vision is to advance interventional radiology in South Africa and develop local sub-specialist training programs. Outside work, he enjoys chess, sports, and is known for his great sense of humour.

Prof Lisa Kaestner

Specialist Urologist

MBChB (Stell) / FCUrol (SA) / MMed (UCT) / PhD (UCT)

Dr Lisa Kaestner is a specialist urological surgeon trained in minimally invasive (robotic and laparoscopic) urological surgery, endoscopic surgery for renal stone disease and benign prostate enlargement, reconstructive urology, and urogynaecological procedures. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Stellenbosch and postgraduate training at the University of Cape Town, earning her MMed and PhD in 2022, with research focused on renal stone disease in the Western Cape.

Dr Kaestner led the reconstructive urology and renal stone unit at Groote Schuur Hospital from 2010 to 2024 and served as academic program director in the Division of Urology at the University of Cape Town from 2020 to 2024. In 2022, she became the first female Associate Professor of Urology in South Africa. She is a regular College of Urology examiner and currently serves as secretary of the College of Urology of South Africa.

Dr Kent Pluke

Specialist Urologist

MBChB (UCT) / FCUrol (SA) / MMed (UCT)

Dr Kent Pluke is an experienced Urologist practising at Melomed Tokai. He earned his MBChB at the University of Cape Town in 2008 and in 2021 completed a Postgraduate Qualification as Fellow of the College of Urologists South Africa, along with a Masters in Medicine from UCT.

He began his career as an intern at Prince Mshiyeni Memorial Hospital, completed community service in Beaufort West, and worked as a medical officer in surgery and urology at Worcester and Victoria Hospitals. He completed his registrar specialist training in Urology at Groote Schuur Hospital, gaining expertise in a wide range of urological conditions.

Dr Pluke treats urinary and male reproductive disorders, including prostate issues such as Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia and prostate cancer. Dedicated to patient-centred care, he ensures patients feel comfortable and informed, encourages open communication, and guides them to optimal health. His clinical skill, compassion, and attention to detail make him a trusted urologist for men seeking comprehensive care.

Dr Vishan Ramloutan

Specialist Urologist

MBChB (UKZN) / FC Urol (SA) / MMed (Urol) UKZN
Dip. Laparoscopic Surgery (University of Strasbourg)

Dr V.M. Ramloutan completed his MBChB, MMed (Urology) and FCS (Urology) SA, followed by advanced training in endourology and minimally invasive management of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

He performs Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP) and offers minimally invasive therapies such as Rezūm and UroLift, providing men with tailored options for effective symptom relief and recovery.

With a calm and evidence-based approach, Dr Ramloutan guides each patient through diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up with clarity and understanding.
His focus on precision and shared decision-making ensures that every patient feels informed and confident throughout their care journey.

Dr Gercois Human

Interventional Radiologist

Abdominal Imaging Fellowship (UTor)

Dr Human is a fellowship-trained Interventional Radiologist with a strong foundation in diagnostic imaging and a special interest in liver disease and cancer-related treatments. He completed his medical degree at the University of the Free State in 2009 and went on to specialize in radiology, earning his qualification in 2022. Driven by a passion for minimally invasive, image-guided therapies,


Dr Human pursued advanced fellowship training in Interventional Radiology at McGill University in Montreal, Canada in 2024. He further refined his expertise with a fellowship in Abdominal Imaging at the University of Toronto in 2025, gaining in-depth experience in cross-sectional imaging and oncologic diagnostics.

Dr Human is committed to delivering patient-centered care through innovative, evidence-based interventional techniques. His clinical interests include liver-directed therapies, tumor embolization, and image-guided biopsies and ablations, among others.

 

Dr Ziphozonke Mkhize

Specialist Urologist

MBChB (UKZN) / FCUrol (SA) / MMed (SMU)

Dr Ziphozonke Mkhize is the first resident Urologist to join Melomed Richards Bay since its inception in 2017. Dr Mkhize completed his MBChB at UKZN in 2007, he trained at the Urology Department of Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University, where he qualified as a Urologist in 2019 as Fellow of the College of Urologists South Africa and then he subsequently obtained his Master of Medicine degree in Urology in 2021 from Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University.

He trained as a medical intern at Ladysmith Provincial Hospital and worked as the community service medical officer at Christ the King Hospital in Ixopo, his hometown. In 2011 joined the training programme for general surgeons at UKZN, then he later joined the urology training programme at Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University in 2014.

 

Dr Mkhize treats male, female and paediatric patients for urinary conditions, including conditions affecting the kidneys, ureter, bladder, prostate and urethra. He also assists his male patients with their sexual and reproductive systems and assists men in dealing with conditions like erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation and infertility.

His main areas of interest are prostate conditions, including benign prostate hyperplasia and prostate cancer. He also has a special interest for kidney stones. Dr Mkhize is a well-rounded urologist, whose number one priority is patient care.
